Mare Wakefield & Nomad with Nathan & Jessie
Mare Wakefield and Nomad
Youll be astounded says Maverick Magazine about this Nashville-based Americana duo. Featuring award-winning Southeast Texas songwriter Mare Wakefield on guitar and Turkish-born, classically-trained Nomad on piano and accordion, this husband-and-wife duo delights audiences with their mix of Americana, old-time country and contemporary folk. Former Kerrville Folk Festival NewFolk Finalists and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artists, the duo had a song featured in a 2017 Lifetime TV Movie. Their latest record TIME TO FLY spent four weeks in the Top Ten on the Roots Americana charts and featured the #2 song of the month for February on the Folk DJ radio charts, and was nominated for 2018 Album of the Year in the No Depression Year-End Readers Poll.

Musically sophisticated, weaving elements of jazz and bluegrass into their compositions. Don't pass up the opportunity to see [Mare & Nomad] perform.  ~  San Francisco Bay Guardian
"Lovely vocals and even lovelier songs. Mare Wakefield and Nomad are a little bit old country, a lot contemporary folk a la Dar Williams or Patty Griffin."  ~  New York Times

Nathan and Jessie
Nathan Rivera and Jessie Andra Smith bring an unforgettable trilingual performance of gypsy bluesy jazzy folk. The duo has traveled all over the world sharing their music on streets and stages with their unique sound, a fusion of jazzy folk and blues on resonator guitars and accordion, with an interesting interplay of harmonies and upbeat tunes rooted in the spirit of jazz, improvisation, storytelling, and humor.
